Generation 3
Vehicle manufacturers constantly strive to improve performance and handling, while reducing weight and complexity. Maintenance-free FAG Generation 3 wheel hubs combine all of these characteristics in a compact, easy-to-install, ABS-ready assembly. The unit features a factory-adjusted preload and optimally rigid double-flange design. The orbital-formed shoulder provides proper clamping force and a lifetime of consistent and reliable performance. FAG Generation 3 hub units are chosen as original equipment for many models including the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Commander and the Pontiac Solstice.
Generation 2
This compact, lightweight, maintenance-free unit combines the cost-effectiveness of a Generation 1 bearing with the convenience of an integral mounting flange. The FAG Generation 2 design features a factory-set preload and an innovative retaining ring that secures the bearing in the carrier and eliminates the need for a clamping unit. The orbital-formed shoulder precisely secures the roller paths in place to maximize bearing life. FAG Generation 2 bearings are original equipment on the Volkswagen Jetta and Passat and the BMW M5 and M6.
