The Heavy Hauler® heavy duty transmission series. Why is it one of the best aftermarket automatic transmissions available? Because we saw a need to take these automatic transmissions to a new level of engineering. We have analysed each specific transmission type and the common failure points of each unit. After recreating the failure point on our Dyno, we then went to work on changing friction materials, pump pressures and shift strategies to eliminate any type of internal transmission failure.

Countless hours of R&D have gone into each transmission and continually go into each transmission. With such a solid reputation for durability and longevity, our Heavy Hauler® series heavy duty Allison 1000, E4OD, 4R100, 5R110, 47RE/RH and 48RE are built with quality parts to tolerate extreme towing & racing performance loads.

Each unit is developed and built by North American Powertrain Components and our skilled technicians. We hand build each unit to our specifications by stripping each unit down to its case and rebuilding it completely. Our Technicians go through each unit, find the weak links and build them tougher, stronger and more reliable. From the obvious of parts upgrades to our personal additions, it’s an exclusive combination that makes for one of the best heavy duty transmissions available.

Once completed, each unit is then put on our state-of-the-art Superflow TransDyno. It is then load tested up to 700 foot-pounds of torque. No one in the industry can make that claim because we are the only manufacturer to have a Superflow TransDyno outfitted with a massive one-off custom electric motor to generate the torque loads we require for testing.

Our Heavy Hauler® automatic transmissions are put to the test in the most extreme of environments; the road and race track. Our Heavy Haulers® have withstood many trips towing heavy loads uphill, countless hot shot services, many passes down the quarter mile at record times and countless hours of abuse on chassis dynos with diesel trucks laying down over 800 rear wheel horsepower!
